Network

DigitalSkys operates its business model and network based upon chosen strategic alliances. These strategic alliances cover: Core Business Alliances; Channel Alliances; Resellers; and Installers.

Core Business Alliances:

These strategic alliances work together with and or directly support our infrastructure and core operations. Material strategic alliances include:

Teleport Services and Infrastructure:

Cyprus Telecommunications Authority (CYTA) – CytaGlobal, a subsidiary company of CYTA, operates as the International Commercial Services Division of CYTA and is a semi-autonomous organisational unit, specialising in global electronic communication products and services. Taking advantage of the island's geographical position, CytaGlobal has developed an extensive submarine fibre optic cable network, which connects Cyprus with the neighbouring countries of Greece, Italy, Syria, Lebanon and Egypt and thereafter with the rest of the world, as well as an equally impressive satellite network infrastructure, which makes Cyprus the most important telecommunications hub in the Eastern Mediterranean and an excellent international electronic communications center. We operate a long term umbrella Services contract under which we structure individual long term service agreements for each of our satellite networks based in this facility, together with our internet fibre backbone connection to the internet. Long term service agreements presently support each of the services operated by the company, through the various satellites, covering the company's target markets.

Satellite Space Segment Capacity:

SES Global is one of the world's pre-eminent satellite groups, managing a network of satellite operators located across all continents. Their global satellite fleet reaches 95% of the world's population, offering regional strength and expertise, on a global scale. We currently operate on NSS6, NSS7 and NSS703 and NSS10.

Technology Hardware and Software Infrastructure:

iDirect Technologies, a subsidiary of Vision Technologies Systems, designs, develops, and markets satellite-based broadband access solutions targeted at the enterprise, government, carrier and educational sectors that have the need for fast, flexible, and geographically dispersed two-way internet/intranet access. The company has developed technology solutions that combine high performance, worldwide availability and ease of installation, high reliability, low cost to end customers, unprecedented efficiencies to satellite network operators. iDirect was awarded the 2005 World Teleport Association Teleport Technology of the year, the Innovation & Technology of the Year by The ISCe Advisory Board and named number one in the Deloitte & Touche Virginia Technology Fast 50 list of the fastest-growing U.S. technology companies. Our core satellite infrastructure is based on an iDirect platform and is complimented by other core servers, hardware and software technologies and systems that provide related critical services and systems, either in direct support of our core infrastructure or to our customer base. Our core satellite infrastructure is based on an iDirect platform and is complimented by other core servers, hardware and software technologies and systems that provide related critical services and systems, either in direct support of our core infrastructure or to our customer base.

We also operate, integrate and or deploy a wide range of client end peripheral systems and technologies, each of which for the more material strategic alliances is protected and structured under operating, distributorship, channel and or re-seller agreements.

Channel Alliances:

We operate an extensive network of strategic alliances with various in-country companies focused on our products and services. This network of alliances facilitates a material volume of business to the group.
