The nanoBTS, the world's smallest basestation, offers cellular coverage and capacity wherever it is needed - in building, shopping centres, transport terminals, at home, underground stations, rural and remote deployments; in fact, almost anywhere.
The nanoBTS is a complete picocellular basestation for deployment in buildings to provide GSM and GPRS coverage and capacity. With the smallest and most cost-effective package available today, its use of IP for backhaul ensures it can be installed wherever and whenever capacity and coverage are required. ip.access has developed the nanoBTS in accordance with ETSI standards which guarantees compatibility with existing handsets as well as both today's circuit-switched and tomorrow's IP-based networks.
nanoBTS is available for the 900, 1800 or 1900MHz bands. The unit offers up to 200mW radio output power enabling cellular coverage up to several hundred metres inside a building. With a single Ethernet connection traffic and signalling can be transported over any broadband packet connection.
